helping you to work
In simple terms, there are three key stages to finding and securing your ideal job. You can define and each stage as follows:
- things that you should do before you start the application process
- things that you should do during the application process
- things that you should do after you’ve secured your new job
what makes us stand apart from other career development providers?
- It's not the subjects that we cover that makes us different, it’s what we say and the experiences that we can draw on that makes us stand apart from other similar service providers
- You’ll find that most career development websites will only focus on what you should do during the application process. 1st Steps to Success, however, are different; we offer advice and guidance that covers all three stages, and we have created a Three Step Model which explains everything that you need to do and/or address at each stage. In short, our three Steps are based on a simple ‘traffic-light system’:
- Step 1 - STOP - Reflecting on where you are now and on what you want to do in the future
- Step 2 - GET READY - Planning and applying for the job that you want to do
- Step 3 - GO - Getting the most out of your new job
- We don’t waffle, we just tell you what you need to know in order to improve your chances of getting the job that you really want
- Our experiences are real, not from a textbook
- We regularly review and refresh our knowledge, so you can rest assured that our advice will stand the test of time.
